Last week my future son in law asked me to play test his Buffet B12 clarinet. He hadn’t played in many years and was thinking about getting back into it. The clarinet played beautifully even after being neglected for years. All the clarinet needed was a Bb link cork. The key work is extremely hard and even though it is a plastic clarinet, the mat finish looks a lot like wood. This seems to me like a great reliable clarinet that I notice is readily available in the used market for less than $300.
Yes, those are pretty decent student horns. Their latest student line, the Prodigé, is even better.
